Remembering VHS tapes

Remember when VHS tapes used to start like this?
Did anyone actually ever get in trouble with the FBI for copying their movie?
According to the Internet, no. They never knocked on people's doors, they only went after big bootleggers. This warning was mostly meant as just a deterrent.
